 You're already teaching.

Yoga, Pilates, PT, aerial. Your students get results and you know how to hold a room.

But aerial yoga keeps coming up. A studio asks. A student enquires. You can see the gap in your area and nobody is filling it. And you keep having to say no, or not yet, because you don't have the qualification behind you and you're not confident you have the framework to walk into a mixed-ability aerial class and handle whatever happens.

That's exactly what this training gives you.

Built for teachers who don't have three days spare

The in-person course at Flying Fantastic gets extraordinary feedback. But getting to London for three consecutive days isn't possible for everyone, and it's not always practical even for people who live nearby.

The online course covers the same material, follows the same assessment process, and every submission is reviewed personally by Edel. The difference is that you work through it at your own pace, in your own time, and you have space to actually practise the moves and think about what you're learning before you submit.

Edel built it as a mum who knows exactly what it's like to try and carve three days out of a full life. And for teachers in Germany, France, the US, the Czech Republic, and everywhere else aerial yoga teacher training simply isn't available locally, it's the only option that makes sense.

"This course enabled me to add Aerial Yoga Classes to my studio schedule. The material was accessible and easy to follow, and Edel was helpful and knowledgeable throughout. All our aerial yoga classes are now busy — we're adding more to the timetable all the time."

Stef Carnell Owner, Yogi Sanctuary, Cardiff

This training is right for you if:

You're a yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, aerialist or fitness professional who wants to add aerial yoga to your teaching practice, properly, with a qualification that lets you get insured and a framework that holds up in a real class.

You'll need access to a safe rigging setup to complete the assessment — either a fixed rig or a portable one, as long as it's rated to withstand dynamic loads. If you're not sure whether your setup qualifies, get in touch before you enrol.

This training is particularly well suited to:

  • Yoga and Pilates teachers who want to add aerial classes to their existing timetable
  • Aerialists and performers ready to move into teaching
  • Fitness professionals looking to offer something genuinely different
  • Studio owners who want to add aerial yoga to the timetable

"I completed this course and immediately invested in four aerial rigs for my school. My aerial yoga classes are now full and I'm teaching regularly. I couldn't have done it without the structure and confidence this training gave me."

Holly Plumley Studio Owner, Performance Arts Aerial and Circus Skills Classes

When you complete this training you'll be ready to:

  • Walk into your first aerial yoga class with a lesson plan that works. You'll know how to adapt it when a student does something you didn't expect.
  • Spot safely and confidently, so when a complete beginner surprises you in the middle of a pose, you know exactly what to do.
  • Set up and check your rig correctly every time and be able to explain your safety decisions to a studio owner or venue manager.
  • Plan any class, for any level, using the Find Your Flow Framework. Lesson prep takes minutes rather than hours.
  • Teach Aerial Yoga with a foundation syllabus that gives your students real progression.
  • Graduate with an accredited certificate that enables you to get professional insurance and start teaching straight away.

Every assessment is reviewed personally by Edel

Before you qualify, you'll submit three lesson plans and Edel will read every one and give you detailed written feedback. You'll answer a teaching questionnaire. And you'll film yourself teaching a real class of three students and submit the video for assessment.

Edel watches every video personally, working through a detailed assessment checklist. She's looking at whether you're demonstrating moves clearly, using concise teaching cues, moving around the room, and getting on the floor to spot students in inversions. The things that actually matter when you're standing in front of a class.

If you need to resubmit, you'll be given specific guidance on what to improve.

About Edel

Edel has been teaching aerial yoga for nine years and running Flying Fantastic, one of London's leading aerial arts studios, for fifteen. She's trained more than 200 teachers through this programme, and students travel from the US, Germany, France, Spain and all across Europe to train with her.

Her background is in primary education. That shapes everything about how she teaches and everything about how this course is built. She doesn't believe that being an advanced practitioner makes someone a good teacher. She believes good teaching is a skill in its own right, and that the best aerial yoga teachers are the ones who understand how a real beginner moves, what will go wrong, and what to do about it.

Every assessment submission is reviewed personally by Edel. Every lesson plan, every teaching questionnaire, every video. When you graduate, you've reached a standard, not just completed a course.

You can also contact Edel directly at any point during the training with questions. That access doesn't end when you qualify.

"I feel so lucky to have done my teacher training with Edel. The course was so detailed and the post-course support has been incredible as I finesse my own style of teaching."
